Total time: 25 minutes plus 1 hour chilling | Serves 4
Note: Dried longans can be found at Asian markets.
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 (2.5-ounce) package dried longans
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar

Step 1Bring water to boil and stir in longans. Simmer 20 minutes. Stir in sugar.

Step 2Chill thoroughly, 1 hour.

Step 3Pour over ice and serve immediately.
