Total time: 10 minutes | Makes 1 cup
  • 1/2 pound strawberries, rinsed and hulled
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice

Step 1Place the strawberries, sugar and orange juice in the work bowl of a food processor and pulse 4 or 5 times just to chop them small. Don't puree.

Step 2Transfer the mixture into a small nonstick skillet and cook over medium-high heat until it begins to thicken, about 5 minutes. Set aside until ready to use.

Each serving:
34 calories; 0 sodium; 0 cholesterol; 0 fat; 0 saturated fat; 8 grams carbohydrates; 0 protein; 0.65 gram fiber.
