Total time: 10 minutes plus 30 minutes standing | Makes 2 cups
  • 4 tomatoes, diced
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 serrano pepper, minced
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 2 teaspoons salt

Step 1Combine tomatoes, onion, cilantro, garlic, serrano, lime juice and salt. Cover and let stand 30 minutes for flavors to blend. Chill until serving.

Each tablespoon:
3 calories; 148 mg sodium; 0 cholesterol; 0 fat; 1 gram carbohydrates; 0 protein; 0 gram fiber.
