Total time: 5 minutes | Serves 4
  • 6 ounces blood orange juice
  • 6 ounces gin
  • 2 ounces simple syrup
  • 4 twists blood orange peel

Step 1Pour the blood orange juice, gin and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.

Step 2Shake well and strain into chilled highball glasses filled with 4 or 5 ice cubes each. Garnish each with a twist of blood orange peel.

Note: From Donna Deane, Times Test Kitchen director. Make 2 ounces of simple syrup by dissolving one-fourth cup sugar in one-fourth cup water and simmering for a few minutes.
