Total time: 25 minutes plus 1 hour chilling | Serves 4
Note: Thai coffee mix is available at Asian markets.
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/4 cup Thai coffee mix
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • Half-and-half

Step 1Bring water to boil in medium saucepan. Stir in coffee mix. Simmer over medium-low heat 20 minutes.

Step 2Stir in sugar to taste. Strain through sieve lined with cheesecloth. Chill thoroughly, 1 hour.

Step 3For each drink, pour over ice and stir in 3 to 4 tablespoons half-and-half or to taste. Serve immediately.

Each serving:
274 calories; 19 mg sodium; 17 mg cholesterol; 5 grams fat; 57 grams carbohydrates; 2 grams protein; 1.5 grams fiber.
